So What's Next...

I turned 45 this year. I didn't think half-way to 90 would be as disruptive to my inner peace as it has been, but here we are, a quarter-way through the year, and me feeling an irresistable urge to completely reinvent myself. Am I entering my "Eat, Pray, Love" era? Maybe so, but I am 100% ok with that.

I've been working in the floral industry since 2019, and out of a retail store front in Nashville for the past 4. Deciding not to renew my lease was a month's long decision (and I'm sure I tired my kiddos out with all the external thinking it through). But I did finally come to a place where, no matter how bittersweet the end of our time in our retail space is, I'm ready and excited for what will be coming next.

A lot of folks have been asking, "So what's next?"

It feels a little like high school graduation, when all your parents' friends ask where you're going to school, or what's next, and you really have NO idea, but say something anyhow. While I'm not exactly sure the specifics of my next move (stop being so nosy!), I DO know one thing. I'm really excited to be finding more time and financial flexibility for traveling once the monthly overhead of having a retail space is behind me. The economy sucks right now, y'all, and any way of cutting back on costs is a win in my mind.

Currently, what's next is watching Rhett and Link learn how to shoe a horse on YouTube while getting plans together for a wedding in NYC that I'm flowering in June. A young couple getting married in Central Park in June sounds just about perfect to me!

My list of to-do's right now includes:

If you are someone that wants to stay in touch, I'll be blogging a lot more about my travel adventures, so follow me over on instagram and here. My new instagram is @meg_thetravelingflorist
